Copper chelate in the form of dispersible microgranules designed to prevent or correct copper deficiencies in woody or herbaceous crops. Copper acts as a catalyst in numerous physiological processes in the plant:
Copper is a low mobility element, being fixed to the soil. This fixation increases in soils rich in organic matter, clayey soils or soils with a high phosphate content. Furthermore, soils with an excess of lime or a rise in pH reduce its assimilation by the plant.
As the copper is chelated by the supplementing agent EDTA, we ensure that the copper is in a form that can be assimilated by the plant. Deficiencies in this element are first visible in the young tissues, due to their low mobility.
The symptoms are: whitish or pale yellow discolouration of the leaf tips, lack of turgidity and even necrosis. Older leaves have dry tips. All this results in a decrease in yield quality.
Stability range of copper chelate is at pH: 4 – 9.
